Mystery at Indian Rocks Beach A Story of Finding Love
This book came about from a recent vacation in Indian Rocks Beach FL. There were some quite interesting interactions that amazed the author and thus the real circumstances behind the Grandparent's characters that were used in this story, as well as special new friends.
This is the second 'Love' story by the author. His first, 'A Love Lost in Time' won an American Writers award. With the success of that one, this is another attempt at creating a wonderful story in a beautiful real setting utilizing well-known landmarks both in Indian Rocks Beach as well as the author's hometown of Erie, Pa. If you are from either area, you will readily recognize the special locations as the characters interact in them within the storyline. Love is interesting. It takes many twists and turns with fate interacting to bring people together...just as in real life.
Excerpt: "A.J. was still half asleep when his cell phone beeped. He was still recovering from this last spinal surgery. It was the eleventh month of a twelve-month recovery. "
"Coletta was in her dorm room alone, studying for one of her final exams when her cell phone buzzed on the corner of her desk.
I wonder who that could be? She thought.
She hesitated to answer it, debating whether to let it go to save while she finished reviewing this chapter. But, out of curiosity and need for a quick break, she picked it up.

EXCERPT:
I was driving home from work and I was admiring a particularly beautiful summer day with the clearest blue sky. There was nothing unusual about the street, path, direction, or time of day as this was the usual route for me. The line of traffic had stopped for a red light, I was about the 20th car back in line and was looking up at the sky through the open moon roof in my car sitting there admiring the day.
In an instant, I heard a loud bang and I blinked. Although, it must have been a long blink. When my eyes opened, I was trying to look out of the rear-view mirror to see what happened, but it was blocked. Odd, I thought, I wonder what is wrong
Then I realized that I was seeing my crumpled trunk lid in the rear-view mirror. In the next instant, when I tried to move in my seat, I felt a bee-like stinging all over my body. This cannot be good, I again thought to myself.
On my first attempt to waddle out to the patio, I finally heard within my mind and realized God speaking to me. This is for you. Pay attention. I am healing you. The Blue sky, the green of the trees and grass, and the melodic songs of the birds washed over me and lifted my soul.

Excerpt:
“You know this is my food,” the Dog said to the Cat, who just kept staring at his bowl filled with fresh food. Both of their food and water bowls had just been refreshed.
The Cat just stared at him. Tilting his head, first to the right and then to the left, always keeping the Dog’s bowl of food within the perimeter of its vision in case the Dog looked away.
The Dog looked up at the human for help in hopes that the human would shoo the Cat away from its food.
The human did nothing and slowly walked away. Meanwhile, the Cat had already used its paw to scoop a few kernels of the Dog’s food out of the dish in the few seconds the Dog has looked at the human.
The Dog looked back down at the Cat, who sat, now staring at him, waiting to see if he had noticed the random pieces of food that were now scattered about the floor. The Dog did not. He just kept looking at the Cat, wondering what he would do next.
A Collection of Poems and Musings
Over many years spent recuperating after numerous surgeries and recoveries, the author was delegated to his
recliner for healing. Forced to sit quietly for an extended period, the author felt these words come without plan or forethought.
Feeling inspired by them, he has collected what he has written over many years and compiled it into this book.
The topics vary from Life to Seasons, to Love, to God. There are even a few thoughts (musings) thrown in for good measure.
This book presents the possibility that positivity and nature can provide healing observations comfort and solace to others who may suffer from either temporary or chronic pain. Or conditions of anxiety or trouble, where the mind needs to be quiet and contemplate the beauty that surrounds us all every day, and which can provide the therapy of healing mind, body, and spirit.

Happy Valentine's Day '21
I walked hand in hand, in silence, with my love. No words were needed said. In the silent stillness of these quiet woods, we could hear our love for each other. Our souls were intertwined, and from time to time, we could hear God’s whisper through the trees, in you, I am well pleased.
